Parents’ Association Update – JUNE 2024

Our purpose

School fees and government funding alone are insufficient for the adequate resourcing of our school, therefore parents are encouraged to make a commitment to the school by assisting with volunteering and support with fundraising efforts. The school relies on the efforts of the PA and school community to ensure the school operates efficiently, continues to offer a high standard of education and has the best possible resources for the children.

Sponsors

We are fortunate to partner with a range of local businesses that sponsor the school whether it be raffle prize donations, equipment/resources donations or becoming a Major Sponsor. These contributions make a considerable difference to our fundraising efforts which are put toward much-needed resources for the school. If your workplace or business is interested in supporting St Mark’s school, please reach out to us on pa@saintmarks.school.nz to explore our range of sponsorship opportunities.

Fundraising events

Throughout the year we run a range of events to enhance fundraising efforts and bring together the St Mark’s school community – follow us on Facebook to hear about events we have on the go.

We run a School Fair once a year which in previous Fairs has attracted over 2,500 people and over $10K in fundraising. Events like this would not be possible without the efforts of our volunteers, if you would like to be involved, please reach out to our Fair Committee on fair@saintmarks.school.nz
